Social Strategy Development: Lead the creation and execution of social media strategies for Cactus clients and new business prospects. Ensure social strategies and activities work in alignment with business objectives and integration across marketing activities and channels.
Social Campaign Support: Integrate into the overall agency creative development process by providing social strategy support for integrated campaigns. This includes developing social-specific briefs and partnering with creatives to naturally extend broader concepts into social-first thinking and execution.
Overall Comms Strategy Support: Develop overall communications frameworks and content strategies to guide campaign development across channels (social and non-social), and ensure social is seamlessly integrated into broader content approaches.
Own the Content Calendar: Oversee content calendar management, ensuring all content is optimized for social engagement across campaigns, organic content and cultural moments.
Partner with Paid: Collaborate with paid media team to develop integrated paid + owned + earned strategies and tactical plans.
Creative Collaboration: Lead internal cross-functional team brainstorms to develop social story concepts for social-first content and extensions of creative brand campaigns.
Support in Execution: Partner with the Cactus social creative team to concept and create made-for-social content, with specific emphasis on video natively built to perform on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Snap, etc.
Influencer Strategy and Management: Manage paid influencer process and campaigns, including developing strategic approaches to utilizing creators, identifying talent and contracting, working directly with influencer / creator talent, creative c

Reporting and Analytics: Analyze social media performance metrics, providing insightful reports and data-driven recommendations.
Identify and Capitalize on Trends: Monitor and stay ahead of the rapidly evolving social media landscape, tracking trends, observing changing behaviors, benchmarking brands, and educating on best practices. Use these observations to proactively generate creative opportunities across our client portfolio.
Elevate and Grow our Social Practice: Help us develop specific social products (audits, deliverables, etc) and participate in pitching new business, proactively bringing new ideas to existing clients, and growing agency revenue.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a social strategist, content strategist, social media manager, comms planner or similar role.
Experience leading social strategy and/or content strategy for large, consumer-focused brands with demonstrated success.
The ability to leverage data and insights to drive strategy, ensuring that every decision is tied to measurable outcomes.
Deep experience working within major social platforms (Meta, Snap, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc), analytics tools (GA4, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, etc), social listening (eg Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Netbase, etc) and other digital marketing resources
A strong history of collaborating with creative teams, from developing and presenting briefs to turning concepts into compelling, social-centric campaigns.
Experience directly managing paid influencer programs, from talent identification and vetting through contracting, execution and measurement.
A track record of building strong client relationships, with experience working directly with client in-house teams.
Outstanding presentation and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to clients, creative teams, and analytics stakeholders.
Experience working within a creative agency is preferred.
