Creative Director

The Creative Director will lead Cactus’ creative teams in the development of unexpected, insightful and compelling brand ideas, actions, campaigns and communications that meet and exceed our clients’ business objectives.

The right individual for this role will have previous creative direction experience, an exceptional portfolio of work that displays superior conceptual problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead teams in the production of integrated creative solutions across a variety of tactical applications.

Salary:

$135,000-$150,000 commensurate with experience

Location:

This is a Denver based role with a set hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days WFH schedule

Job Roles

Develop and maintain great relationships with client partners.
Develop a deep understanding of your client’s brand, business, industry and competition in order to provide knowledgeable leadership, innovative creative direction, and successful, on-strategy solutions for each creative initiative.
Work in close partnership with Cactus’ Executive Creative Director, Account Director, strategists, creative teams, producers, project managers, and all other key internal team members in guiding our teams toward the development and production of consistently outstanding creative solutions.
Make strategic and insightful contributions at all phases of the creative development and executional process that elevate the quality and effectiveness of Cactus’ marketing solutions.
Act not only as a leader but also as a partner to creative teams by providing clear vision, insightful direction, and actionable feedback; work closely alongside our creative teams to make direct contributions the development, advancement, and execution of campaign concepts and tactical deliverables.
Simultaneously lead multiple creative teams across a range of varying assignments with overlapping deadlines and levels of complexity, never sacrificing quality or commitment to excellence.
Lead creative presentations to internal teams, client teams, and production partners.
Mentor members of Cactus’ creative team (both formally and informally), offering support and guidance to creative staff as needed.

Qualifications

Previous creative direction experience within an advertising agency
The ability to generate, enhance, and lead the development of original ideas and solutions
Be a consistently optimistic, collaborative, and solution-oriented team player
The ability to respond well to internal and client feedback, balancing careful consideration of various ideas and perspectives with your own in order to guide internal and client teams toward effective adaptations and improvements to the work across every phase of a project
The resilience to perform under pressure and consistently deliver high-quality work against tight deadlines with a cooperative, team-first approach
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
A keen eye for detail
