• Media Internship /

    The media intern is the media departments primary administrative resource; responsible for a range of activities related to the efficient and effective administration of paid media campaigns. Of specific importance is their responsibility for keeping our client billings and payments accurate, on time and that all related administrative information related to our clients ‘accounts’ is kept accurate and up to date. Additionally the intern helps the media team to stay organized by assisting in the setting up of meetings, pulling reports and responding to vendor/client requests for information.

    In addition to administrative support, the media intern will have an opportunity to work closely with the planning team to assist with the development and execution of media plans with an emphasis on the digital portion of media planning and buying. This would likely include availing of digital RFPs, as well as the subsequent collection, organization and administration of digital media activity.

    The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for media and be available for a minimum of 20 hours a week. A six-month commitment would also be desirable, this position is un paid.

  • Duties

    - Receives and enters vendor invoices and ensures timely invoice clearing and payment
    - Perform monthly audits as needed – under the direction of a media planner
    - Assists in the pulling of information from various media department data sources (e.g., STRATA, Sizmek, SRDS)
    - Manages internal team meeting coordination and general vendor inquiries
    - Helps maintain accurate vendor information including contact details and media kits both on the server as well as within buying systems (Strata and Workamajig)
    - Assists planning and buying teams as requested to help gather media research and information as well as in the management of the media buying process
    - Collects and organizes information to assist in the development of the tactical media plan
    - In partnership with the junior media buyer, the junior planner manages the creation of spec bibles and communicates production needs and deadlines to all necessary teams
    - Creates estimates and enters print, interactive and out of home media buys into Strata
    - Sends print, digital, and out of home media orders to vendors and ensures all publishers have confirmed buy placement
    - Assists media coordinator with the clearing and paying of invoices
    - Manages internal production requests and helps to troubleshoot traffic and production needs
    - Assists in the implementation and troubleshooting of campaign tracking set up
    - Provides accounting team with monthly billing reports
    - Maintains accurate client flowcharts and digital buy books
