Cactus Celebrates Six W3 and Gold Leaf Awards /
Cactus was recently honored with six awards at the national Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts’ W3 Awards and the Colorado Healthcare Communicators’ Gold Leaf Awards.
W3 AWARDS /
The W3 Awards recognize the best websites from top companies and agencies worldwide. Cactus received a gold W3 Award in the teen website category for its work on the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s (CDPHE) youth marijuana prevention website, www.ProtectWhatsNext.com. Cactus also received a silver W3 Award in the education website category for its work on CDPHE’s marijuana education campaign website, www.GoodToKnowColorado.com.
GOAL GETTER /
The Protect What’s Next campaign is about helping youth prioritize their goals ahead of underage marijuana use. So to help them do that, we developed an interactive tool to help them explore, discover and achieve new goals based on their personal interests and passions.
GOOD TO KNOW /
Cactus created the Good to Know campaign platform to reach and educate all Coloradans age 21 and older, both users and non-users, about the state’s laws and safety guidelines concerning retail marijuana sale, possession and use.
GOLD LEAF AWARDS /
At the 2016 Gold Leaf Awards ceremony, Cactus was awarded a Gold Leaf Award, as well as top honors as Colorado Agency Project of the Year – broadcast, for its work on University of Colorado Health’s TV spot titled, “No Bye Weeks.” Building on UCHealth’s partnership with the Denver Broncos, the spot highlights that while the Broncos are amazing at what they do, the real heroes are the doctors, nurses and staff within the walls of UCHealth. This spot celebrates everyone at UCHealth who performs without bye weeks, instant replays or timeouts, and must be ready to deal with life and death situations at any given moment, not just any given Sunday.
UCHEALTH: NO BYE WEEKS /
By using a sports analogy that probes the idea of who the real heroes in society are, we were able to provide a glimpse of the inspiration, passion and motivation that drove the team at UCHealth.
SILVER AND BRONZE LEAF AWARDS /
Cactus client Grit Digital Health also took home a Silver Leaf Award in the website category for the YOU@CSU college student success portal and a Bronze Leaf Award in the category of print/digital/outdoor campaign in a single format for the “Help is Here” posters promoting the portal on the CSU campus.
YOU: WEBSITE /
YOU connects students to on-campus and online resources using personalization and best practices to help students lead a productive and well-balanced college life.
YOU: HELP IS HERE CAMPAIGN /
To support the YOU student well-being portal at Colorado State University, the Help is Here campaign was created. Each poster in the series features imagery of college students with blissfully unaware, smiling faces paired with a headline that depicts the student’s current struggle.
